Rick Conard brings extensive experience in building code administration and municipal leadership to the OBOA Board of Directors. As the Director of Building and Chief Building Official for the City of Mississauga, Rick oversees building and sign permit services, inspections, zoning services and development engineering, ensuring safe and sustainable development across one of Canada’s largest municipalities.
Rick is passionate about advancing building safety standards, fostering innovation in code administration, and supporting professional development within the industry. With a collaborative approach and a commitment to excellence, Rick works to strengthen partnerships between municipalities, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to promote consistency and best practices across Ontario. He is proud to represent Region F for the Ontario Building Officials Association.
