Corrine Nauta, CBCO
Director | At Large
I am honoured to serve as a Director at Large on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA). I am deeply committed to advancing Ontario’s building industry through strengthened professional standards, enhanced education, and meaningful member engagement. In support of OBOA’s mission to promote excellence and professionalism in building code administration, I actively contribute to the Association’s strategic priorities and collaborate closely with industry partners and stakeholders.
With more than 24 years of experience in the building and construction sector, including service as a municipal councillor, I bring a well-rounded and practical perspective to my governance role. I currently serve as Manager of Development Services and Chief Building Official, where I lead a multidisciplinary team of 27 professionals across Building, By-Law Enforcement, and Planning. My work is grounded in extensive expertise in building code administration, regulatory compliance, risk management, and the essential role of building officials in safeguarding public safety.
As part of my Director at Large portfolio with OBOA, I am actively engaged in the following committees and initiatives:
Finance Committee (Member)
Education Committee (Member)
Continuous Professional Development Program (CPDP) (Lead)
OSPE Liaison
Building Safety Month (Lead)
Leadership Day 2026
I extend my sincere gratitude to the County of Lambton and its ten member municipalities, my family, the Southwestern Chapter of OBOA, and my departmental staff for their continued support. I am privileged to work alongside my fellow directors, OBOA members, and the Association’s dedicated staff as we advance our profession and strive for excellence in building practices across Ontario.
You are welcome to connect with me directly at any time regarding OBOA matters.
